How To Create a Test : |
Select a Topic/Subtopic
Doing a search on TestBag is
easy. All Topics/Subtopics are displayed in a ‘Tree
Structure’ in a hierarchical mode.
( Place a small correct image
in tree structure)
Select Topic / subtopic
you propose to create test on by clicking the topic/subtopic
The selected topic
will be displayed on top of ‘Create Test’
form. The questions relevant to selected topic will
be randomly selected based on your criteria to create
a test for you.
Important
Point
• You can create test
either by selecting a topic / subtopic or by inputting
a correct/relevant keyword. Both the options cannot
be used simultaneously.
•As questions are arranged in hierarchical manner,
the number of questions associated with top of hierarchy
will always be more than ‘branches’ .
For example ‘Biology’ will have more questions
associated with it than ‘Cell Biology’
(which is subtopic to ‘Biology’) and ‘Cell
Biology’ will have more questions than ‘Biomolecules’
(which is a subtopic to ‘Cell Biology’)
and associated keyword ‘Lipids’ will have
lesser questions than ‘Biomolecules’

SELECT OPTIONS
Testbag provides selection criteria to enable you to build test . You can select following options
|
Question Type : |
You can choose question type
you would like your test to be created from. The options
are
Any
Multiple Choice
Multiple Response
Fill- in-Blanks
True False
Most of the questions currently available in TestBag
are multiple choice. However they are few multiple
response and fill-in-blank question types also.
|
Total Number
of Questions
: |
You can input the number of questions you would like your test to be created from. Select a reasonable number of questions your require create a test. Large number of questions in your selection criteria will delay. Keeping this n view we have restricted selection criteria to maximum 100 questions. ( However this restriction is not there in model tests)
|
Number of
Questions per page:
: |
To make your browsing easier, there is a facility to display questions page wise. For example you have selected 100 number of questions and selected criteria of display of 20 questions per page, then the entire test will be created in five pages. You can move between pages.
|
Level of Difficulty
: |
In TestBag the questions
are of four levels of difficulty. There can be questions
of all four levels of difficulty/only three levels
of difficulty/ only two levels of difficulty/ or single
level of difficulty in a topic/ subtopic or keyword
. There are five choices to select level of difficulty
- any, easy, medium, hard, professional.
Select option ‘Any’
will select questions randomly from all four levels
of difficulty i.e. easy, medium, hard, professional
In general the level
of difficulty meets following criteria
Level of difficulty
‘Easy’ : For students upto 10th class
, matric the questions in their disciplines would
be of difficulty level ‘easy’
Level of difficulty
‘Medium’ : For students upto 12th class
, senior secondary the questions in their disciplines
would be of difficulty
level ‘medium’
Level of difficulty
‘Hard’ : For students upto Graduation
the questions in their disciplines would be of difficulty
level ‘hard’
Level of difficulty
‘Professional’ : For Professionals in
their field the questions would be of difficulty level
‘Professional’
But still there is
no clear cut demarcation, one difficulty level merges
in the borderline into other.
The level of difficulty
criteria is also used for se
ding users with indicators
on time management, a critical element in test taking
|
Total Time For Test : |
Here you can allocate the time
require to complete the test. The time is in minutes.
On the top of test a clock indicating your allocated

Regular Preparation Help : |
1.
Study
and concentrate on a subject or topic in the class/tutorial
, jot down important
,points in notes |
2.
For
example you are a student of 11th class and
have studied Laws of motion in Physics
today . To check yourself on this subtopic
|
|
go
to topic, select ‘laws of motion’. |
|
Select
a reasonable number of questions say
20 your require to be tested on (if
you will select unreasonable number
say 1000, the system will take unduly
long. Keeping this in view the maximum
number of questions allowed to be selected
are restricted to 100 at one instance) |
|
For
your convenience select number of questions
you would like to see on each page. You
can toggle between pages. |
|
Select
level of difficulty as ‘medium |
|
Allocate
time in which you wish to complete the
test |
|
Allocate
number of marks you wish for correctly
answered, incorrectly answered or questions
not attempted |
|
Start
Test |
|
Based
on your selection criteria you will have
a test ready to be taken by you |
|
On
completion of test , submit the same and
results will be displayed online |
|
The
results will also be stored in test
history for analysis in future and initiating
steps to improve further with help of
teachers/mentors. In test history we
also propose to provide solutions in
future to some difficult questions for
your perusal. |
|
3. |
You
can even select a keyword say ‘Acceleration’
you have studied in ‘laws of motion’
and can create a test to check your
knowledge on acceleration. A list of
keywords subjectwise/topicwise/subtopicwise
is available on subject specific page
‘Physics’ (click link from homepage)
for your help. This list will help you
in understanding few important keywords
in your subtopic and some of them you
may not have studied till now. The difficulty
level for keywords is advisable to be
selected as ‘medium’ . However difficulty
level ‘any’ would provide wider choice
of questions on a keyword. |
4. |
Alternatively
you can select topic ‘ Mechanics’ to
which subtopic ‘laws of motion’ belongs
and you can create test on all subtopics
of mechanics which you may have studied
in a month. Similarly you can test yourself
on subject the subject ‘Physics’ or
on ‘Science’ to which subject Physics,
Chemistry, biology etc belong and so
on. |
5. |
Every time
your create a test, the chances are
that you will get different set of questions
on same topic based on random selection.
There will more questions on Physics,
lesser in a topic in physics, further
lesser in a subtopic and fewer questions
on keyword selection. Keyword selection
can also select questions from different
topics or subjects based on commonality
of keywords in such topics or subjects.
|
6. |
We
shall be updating/adding questions regularly.
We have a process on online contribution
from different contributors to enrich
our database. The questions are edited
at our end before making them available
for your use. |
7. |
Although
we have taken care to as accurate as
possible but feedback (link available
on homepage) from you would be of great
help. You can give us a general feedback
or can advise us to correct a question/answer
in which there may have been inadvertent
mistake. (there are separate links for
this on homepage) |
